Good Morning and welcome to this week’s edition of INSPIRATIONAL TIDBITS. Well, the longest day of the year is Sunday, and what are you doing about it? Have you scheduled everything that you can, to take advantage of all of the sunshine that’s available to you? Personally, I’ve already had several days this month that have seemed like the “longest day of the year”. Sunshine is sunshine, but when it rains, it pours, I guess. After the opener above, how can we resist sending you out some more of those absolutely awful Country song titles? “If she hadn’t been so good lookin’, I mighta seen the train” “She’s got the rhythm and I’ve got the blues” “Momma get the hammer, there’s a fly on Poppa’s head” “She feels like a new man tonight” “Does your chewing gum lose it’s flavor on the bedpost overnight”? “I’ve missed you, but my aim’s improvin’” “She looks good through the bottom of my shot glass” This guy’s really sincere, isn’t he? “If you don’t believe I love you, just ask my wife” Now the interactive part of the Tidbits. That means you have to actually send ME something, namely the answers to these BRAINSQUEEZERS. 1. The most common mammal in the US is the ( mouse; rat; bat ) 2. The most common pet in the US is the ( cat; dog; fish ) 3. What percentage of Americans include their pets in Holiday and family portraits? ( 28%; 58%; 74% ) 4. Way back when, the Dachshund was originally used for hunting ( fox; birds; badgers ) 5. The fastest-moving snail can move how many feet in an hour? (26; 75; 165 ) TIEBREAKER: How many Florida State Parks are there? 153 OBSCURE EXTRA BONUS QUESTION: When a female horse and male donkey mate, the offspring is called a mule, but when a male horse and female donkey mate, what is the offspring called? A Hinny
We had a 3-way tie today, among Charley, Mike V & Larry, who all got 4 right. In the end, though, it was MIKE V who won it, guessing 175 on the TB to Charley’s 65 and Larry’s 84. Another “strange range” on the tiebreaker answers today – from 5 to 750. Nobody got the obscure question right, with jackass, mule, mute, and the shockingly inappropriate “honkey” (multiple times) all getting guesses. Two skunks today – that’s correct - NONE right. Didn’t we have a BIG time today? Congrats to Mike V on the win & we’ll see you next week. MJB
