Lindemann Bentzon Bojack Architects & Engineers (LBB) celebrates its 15th anniversary of providing innovative solutions to commercial and residential builders throughout the United States.

Based in Clermont, Fla., with an office in Jacksonville, Fla., LBB started business in 1994. Founders William T. Lindemann, Hans J. Bentzon and Michael J. Bojack combined their experience and talent to set new standards in architectural design and structural engineering.

LBB is active throughout the United States. It has licensed engineers in 37 states, as well as an alliance with the international management consulting firm FMI to value-engineer client properties. The firm’s customer segmentation is 85 percent residential (production, custom and renovation); 15 percent commercial.

LBB provides structural design services for leading production homebuilders, including Ashton Woods Homes, Beazer Homes, Centex Homes, David Weekly Homes, Lennar Homes, Pulte Homes and Ryland Homes – among many others. Commercial projects include office buildings, shopping centers, institutional facilities, condominiums, retirement communities, adult care living facilities, build-out, special aluminum framing, steel framing and stainless steel components.

The firm also performed preliminary design work on Universal Orlando’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter immersive environment, which is scheduled to launch in 2010. Other commercial engineering clients include: ABC Fine Wine & Spirits; Cuchaci & Peterson Architects, Inc.; Foote Steel Corp; John Hancock; McDonald’s Corp.; NASA; Nitram Fertilizer Corp.; Petco; Port Square Construction Co.; Walt Disney Co. and Wedgewood Services, Inc.

LBB is the leading proponent and provider of the integrated design concept, in which architectural design, structural engineering and material costing processes are conducted simultaneously. This approach results in seamless, total integration that maximizes the efficiency of every project – from concept to completion – and contains costs to achieve greater profitability.

LBB observes its 15 years in business with a complete corporate rebranding that includes the launch of a new Web site – www.lbbe.com – and an emphasis on the firm’s equal proficiency in architecture and engineering.

Also, Hans Bentzon and Nizam Emamdie, LBB North Florida Division Director, each recently earned the designation of Certified Green Professional™ from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

This designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes – without driving up the cost of construction. It is part of the NAHB National Green Building Program, which includes a green home verification and certification service through the NAHB Research Center.

About the Founders

William T. Lindemann P.E. - CEO (Retired) and Consultant

Distinguished by more than 50 years in the construction industry, William T. Lindemann represents a combination of deep experience and enthusiasm for new opportunities that is a rare gift in any organization.

As CEO of LBB, Lindemann continues to present the informed guidance that allowed him to shape the firm through creating its company culture, building the senior management team and insisting on the industry’s best talent.

Hans J. Bentzon – Principal

Hans J. Bentzon is instrumental in managing LBB, growing its presence nationwide and working with national home builders to help them develop more cost-effective products through value engineering. The innovative methods he has established have made a significant, enduring impact on home construction methods – particularly in Florida.

Bentzon created a training course focusing on the requirements to engineer hurricane-resistant residential structures after Hurricane Andrew devastated South Florida. Gaining a reputation as an expert on the subject, he helped such large tract builders as Pulte Home Corp. get their backlog of permits approved, and continues to develop design techniques unique to the home building industry. Bentzon also developed a sophisticated project management software system that manages up to 15,000 jobs per year, which is used by LBB.

Michael J. Bojack, P.E. - President

A Licensed Professional Engineer for more than 30 years, Bojack’s career background uniquely qualifies him to provide LBB with the design and construction experience that allows the firm to offer its strong diversity of services.
