Hans Bentzon and Nizam Emamdie earn NAHB Certified Green Professional™ Designation
Lindemann Bentzon Bojack (LBB) is proud to announce that Hans Bentzon and Nizam Emamdie – LBB Principle and North Florida Division Director, respectively – have each earned the designation of Certified Green Professional™ from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
This designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes – without driving up the cost of construction. It is part of the NAHB National Green Building Program, which includes a green home verification and certification service through the NAHB Research Center.
To qualify for the individual designation, applicants must complete 24 hours of instruction in green building and business management, have two years of industry experience, commit to continuing education requirements and sign the CGP code of ethics.
“The CGP designation helps assure home buyers that their builder or remodeler can help them negotiate the path to a green-built home – as green as the home buyer wants it to be,” said Ray Tonjes, Chair of the Green Building Subcommittee.
“LBB has always been at the forefront of environmentally sustainable building practices,” said Bentzon. “Earning Certified Green Professional designation is an important part of our firm’s commitment.”
Said Emamdie: “This designation is particularly meaningful, as it provides prospective clients with a tangible standard of knowledge and practices that they can expect of a Certified Green Professional. Both Hans and I are very pleased to have earned certification, and look forward to working with clients to create homes that incorporate all the advantages of green building.”
